Admission process

At GUTEC University, admission is rolling, 100% online, with cohorts starting several times a year. We aim to give you a decision within 1–2 weeks of receiving your complete application.

Fill out the form with your details, CV, program and cohort of interest, language, and modality. Tell us about your professional goals and what you hope to achieve with the program.

Step 2 · Uploading documentation

Activate your account on the portal and upload the required files. PDF (preferred), JPG/PNG for photos are accepted.

• Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, architecture, technology, science, or related fields.
Recommended• Identity document (ID card/passport).
• Updated resume.
• University degree and transcript.
• Access based on experience: letter from company or detailed employment history.
• Passport-size photo.

Step 3 · Suitability interview (20–30 min)

Video call with an academic advisor to assess your level, experience, and expectations. Some programs include a mini-case study (e.g., reasoning based on a BIM/Scan-to-BIM model, SUDS criteria, or substation protection scheme).

Step 4 · Admissions Committee (3–5 days)

  1. Trayectoria académica y/o profesional.
  2. Encaje con el programa y la cohorte.
  3. Motivación y plan de carrera.
  4. Idioma y habilidades digitales mínimas.
  5. Referencias o evidencias adicionales.
  • Admitted.
  • Admission conditional on completing preparatory courses or micro-courses beforehand.
  • Waiting list due to limited places.
  • Not admitted, with proposal for an alternative route.

Step 5 · Offer of a place and, if applicable, a scholarship

You will receive your admission letter with: program, calendar, estimated workload, price, payment options, and, if you applied for one, scholarship decision.

Validity of the offer: indicated in the document (usually 7–10 days).

Step 6 · Reservation and registration

  • Pay the reservation fee (deducted from the total amount).
  • Sign the academic services agreement.
  • Choose a payment plan (lump sum or installments).
Once you have completed your enrollment, you will have access to the Virtual Classroom and Week Zero.
  • You may defer to the next cohort once, free of charge, if you request it at least 30 days before the start date.
  • Refunds are governed by the contract: administrative fees and issued licenses are non-refundable.

Tip: Apply 4–6 weeks before the start date of your preferred cohort to secure your place and arrange scholarships/funding.

What happens if I receive conditional admission?

If the committee detects specific gaps, we will suggest preparatory courses or micro-courses (e.g., BIM basics, hydraulics fundamentals, reading specifications, Excel for construction management). Upon completion, your place will be confirmed for the assigned cohort.
